The Telegraph say the expectation at Tottenham is that Hugo Lloris will leave the club in January.
Lloris, who has been at Tottenham since 2012, declared at the start of the summer that he is ready to leave Spurs in search of a new challenge (Nice-Matin).
To many people’s surprise, the goalkeeper still remains at Tottenham, with reports over recent weeks indicating that the decision-makers at the North London club were confused that he had rejected a number of offers during the summer, including a couple from Saudi Arabia (Evening Standard).
Ange Postecoglou named the 36-year-old in his Premier League squad after the closure of the transfer window, but it does not seem like he is likely to play for the club again, with the Australian opting to name Fraser Forster on the bench ahead of the former Spurs captain.
The Telegraph have claimed that the experienced goalkeeper is expected to call time on his Spurs career when the transfer window reopens.
It is suggested that Lloris’ contract, which runs until next summer, is expected to be terminated so that he can leave on a free transfer in January.

If Tottenham were planning on terminating Lloris’ contract and letting him leave on a free, I do not understand why they would have to wait until January to do so.
