PHILADELPHIA — Miami’s 4-0 start to the season has the Hurricanes moving up in the media’s eyes.
Following its win over Temple on Saturday, UM moved to No. 18 in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 Poll, up two spots from No. 20.
The Hurricanes are the fourth ranked team in the ACC behind Florida State (No. 5), North Carolina (No. 15) and Duke (No. 17). Four teams from the ACC are ranked this week.
Miami plays FSU and North Carolina later this season.
The Hurricanes are rising in several rankings after beating Temple. As of Sunday, Pro Football Focus gives the Hurricanes an overall grade of 95.9, tied with USC for second in the nation and trailing only Washington. ESPN’s Football Power Index ranks Miami 15th, second in the ACC behind only Florida State. ESPN’s Bill Connelly’s metric, SP+, puts the Hurricanes at No. 13 nationally and No. 1 in the ACC.
