AN anti-aging expert has revealed that her patients are catching on to a trick that keeps wrinkles at bay.
She said the simple move can make the effects of Botox last 30 percent longer.
TikToker Armita Amini (@armitaamini1), a certified physician assistant, said her patients have discovered an industry secret.
It’ll prolong the impact of the anti-aging injection without any more shots or even skincare — and it’s inexpensive, too.
In the video, Armita stared into the camera while dramatic music played in the background.
“When your patient says they started taking zinc a few days before their appt so their Botox lasts longer,” she wrote on the screen.
It was clear she approved.
She explained: “Taking zinc supplements a few days before and after your Botox appointment helps the treatment last 30 percent longer.”
Botox is a drug that is made of botulism, the same toxin that causes a type of food poisoning, according to the Mayo Clinic.
It can be used medically to treat muscular conditions.
It can also be used cosmetically to diminish wrinkles by paralyzing facial muscles for a few weeks.
Zinc supplements “play a key role in nearly every aspect of your health,” according to Healthline.
The mineral may help balance blood sugar, improve acne, decrease heart disease risk, and reduce the length of a cold, per the outlet.
People under Armita’s post applauded her public service announcement.
One of the most popular comments was from a follower who said to take zinc with food, which Armita confirmed.
“Brilliant. Wish I knew sooner,” another said.
“Better late than never,” the expert responded.
