Designer Gets Back Clothes Stolen by 'Genderfluid' Ex-Biden Official
Police have returned clothing belonging to a Tanzanian fashion designer that was stolen by former Biden administration official and notorious luggage thief Sam Brinton, Fox News reported Wednesday.
The designer, Asya Khamsin, reported her luggage stolen from Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., in March 2018 and later saw photos of Brinton wearing her items. The clothes were recovered during a recent police search of Brinton's Maryland home and were returned to Khamsin, police say.
"The MWAA Police Department can confirm we returned the victim’s property and police retained photos of the evidence for prosecution," Crystal Nosal, spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, told Fox News Digital. "The case is still under adjudication and we cannot release more detailed information."
Police in May arrested Brinton, who identifies as "genderfluid," charging the former Biden administration nuclear waste disposal expert with felony grand larceny of items worth more than $1,000.
Brinton was fired from the Biden administration last year after facing charges for other luggage thefts at airports in Minneapolis and Las Vegas.
The preliminary hearing in the case surrounding the theft of Khamsin's clothing is set to take place in December.
"I saw the images. Those were my custom designs, which were lost in that bag in 2018," Khamsin told Fox News in February, referring to photos of Brinton wearing her designs after her luggage went missing. "He wore my clothes, which was stolen."
"The MWAA returned to Asyakhamsin various parcels of retrieved clothing after the search warrant was executed. These items were returned in sealed evidence bags," Peter Hansen, an attorney representing Khamsin, told Fox News.
Brinton, besides being a disgraced luggage thief who delivered a seminar on spanking at a Los Angeles kink conference while on leave from the Energy Department, is also a Washington Free Beacon Man of the Year.
