STEPHEN Fry was rushed to hospital after falling off the O2 stage and tumbling to the floor.
The actor, 66, was giving a speech at an AI and tech festival on Thursday, in London, when the accident happened.
Mr Fry was exiting the stage at the CogX Festival when he tumbled six feet off the edge, claim reports.
He sustained rib and leg injuries before being taken to hospital.
It is not clear whether the QI host is still in hospital.
A source told MailOnline Mr Fry was taken away in a wheelchair.
They added: “It looked like it was too dark and there didn’t look like there was a handrail.
“He fell two metres to the floor.”
London Ambulance Service were called to the scene.
A spokesperson said: “We were called today at 11:31am to reports of an incident at the O2 Arena, in Peninsula Square.
“We sent a medic in a fast-response car, an ambulance crew, and an incident response officer to the scene.
“We treated a man for rib and leg injuries before taking him to hospital.”
CogX Festival has since launched an enquiry into the fall.
A spokesperson said: “We were deeply concerned to hear of Stephen’s accident after giving his inspirational speech on the impact of AI.
“We are thinking of him and wishing him a swift recovery.
“We have opened our own enquiry and until then we are not able to share any further details.”
Greenwich Council are also looking into the incident and are carrying out an investigation.
One person who paid to attend said on X/Twitter after: “Thank you for the superb talk at CogX. I hope you are ok also after a tumble.”
The event, which charged £495 per ticket, had over 500 speakers and ran over three days.
It’s understood around 90,000 guests attended.
