Man Utd's injured & unavailable XI as fresh injury blow is confirmed

Manchester United suffered another huge setback on Monday as they confirmed that a hamstring injury for right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 25-year-old could be out of action for up to two months, and the Red Devils now have a starting line-up of injured and unavailable players.

Goalkeeper Tom Heaton has been on the sidelines since the curtain-raiser. He picked up a calf injury and has yet to report to first-team training.

Alongside Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are other full-backs who are out of action.

Shaw (muscular) and Malacia (knee) are anticipated to return at some point in November.

Aside from the quartet, the Red Devils are also missing centre-back Raphael Varane. The Frenchman is not far off from making his injury comeback.

Midfield duo Mason Mount (hamstring) and Sofyan Amrabat (back) are also in the treatment room, but they are close to returning to first-team action.

However, Kobbie Mainoo (knee) and Amad Diallo (ankle) are long-term absentees. Both suffered injuries in pre-season and have been ruled out until January.

Jadon Sancho and Antony complete the injured and unavailable list. Sancho and Antony are currently suspended due to different reasons stated by the club.

United have had a disappointing start to the season with three defeats in their opening five league games. They are currently 13th on the table with only six points.

The club have been hampered by the unavailability of key players and hopefully, they will be some good news from manager Erik ten Hag in today’s press conference.

Varane, Mount and Amrabat are not far from returning to the field, and it remains to be seen whether they will be part of the travelling squad to face Bayern tomorrow.
