Top Boy fans rip into Netflix’s ‘flop’ ending – as final episode branded ‘terrible’ and ‘worse than Game of Thrones’
TOP Boy fans have complained about the “very disappointing” season finale.
The crime drama series’ viewers have branded the last ever season a “train-wreck.”

The final season of Top Boy ended on a cliffhanger with the demise of main characters Dushane (Ashley Walters) and Sully ( Kane ‘Kano’ Robinson).
Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to pen their disappointment, with one writing: “That Top Boy ending could have been so much better, man. Wasted it, I can’t lie.”
A second followed it with: “Top Boy season 5 was a HUGE train wreck. What the hell was that ending?”
A third person seemingly agreed with the writer’s direction and wrote: “Sully and Dushane are terrible people, and this ending was the only one they deserved.”
A fourth person started a discussion and expressed: “I don’t know what kind of ending that was for Top Boy, but they all need to go back and rewrite and reshoot the whole of season 3.”
Another user replied to the tweet and said: “A whole bunch of nothingness happenings lol — but Ashley, Kano and Jasmine’s acting was top tier.”

A sixth person added: “The ending of #TopBoyNetflix was very disappointing. I don’t like to sound ungrateful, but from the moment I saw it was 6 episodes, I knew it would be a rushed season. Ep1 – Ep4 was good, after that, I dunno what the writers were on.”
Another person quizzed: “DID I JUST WASTE 7 hours of my life to watch Top Boy for that ending?”
Top Boy’s final ever Season has ended after 5 seasons.
The gritty crime drama started on Channel 4 in 2011, but after two seasons, it was discontinued by the broadcaster.
In 2019, fans were over the moon when award-winning artist Drake stepped in to help get the series on the streaming giant platform.
Tensions arise between the two gangsters as they fight to stay on top of the drug game and become king of the Summerhouse estate.
In the final scenes of Season 3, chaos erupted on the East London Summerhouse estate after a police car ran over a little girl while chasing Dushane during a protest by residents, which all stemmed from Keiron’s (Joshua Blissett) immigration removal.
Previously, a desperate Dushane robbed and assaulted Jaqs ( Jasmine Jobson) after he was alerted by his lawyer that he was a person of interest regarding the gruesome death of his business partner, Jefferey (Shaun Dingwall).
While trying to escape and get out of the country by trading 20 kilos of cocaine with a mysterious man who is supposedly meant to get him out of the country, Sully catches up with him and shoots him.
A dying Dushane explains to Sully why he decided to steal the drugs instead of confining in him, with Sully finally expressing that all he wanted from his friend was respect.
In emotional and heart-breaking scenes, Dushane expects his fate while acknowledging the gangster life they lived was only made possible through deaths and violence.
Sully agreed and replied: “Look at where we are from. Look at it.
“If we’re not monsters, we’re food.
“And I could never be food.”
Meanwhile, the late Jamie’s (Michael Ward) youngest brother Stefan is out for vengeance as he follows Sully through the park with a handgun.
Sully soon realises he’s being followed and turns around to see Stefan holding the gun to his face.
After a heart-wrenching exchange where Sully expresses to Stef that he ‘has no emotion left, Stef walks away telling him: ” You’re not worth it.”
But not long after, a mysterious figure approached Sully in his car and shot him dead from outside the window.
