‘Big Brother 25’ Week 5 predictions: Red Utley has leading 29/20 odds to be evicted

For the first time this summer, Red Utley found himself eligible for eviction on “Big Brother,” thanks to Head of Household Jared Fields nominating him alongside Cameron Hardin. After Cameron won the Veto and removed himself from the block, Jared replaced him with Jag Bains, whose eviction just last week was nullified when Matt Klotz used the Power of Invincibility to save him. So who’s going home on September 7: Red or Jag?

All week long, viewers have been making their “Big Brother 25” Week 5 predictions at Gold Derby for who they think will be eliminated next. As of this writing, Red has leading 29/20 odds to be evicted, while Jag is further down at 57/20 odds. There’s still time to make your picks before our predictions center closes at 5:00 p.m. PT on Thursday.

Week 5 started out with the “BB Odd Couples” Head of Household competition from the Scramble-verse. Two at a time, the players had to determine which part of a photo (A, B or C) corresponded to the highlighted words in the love letters written by former houseguests. Jared prevailed and subsequently nominated Red and Cameron for eviction, and he also threw a wrench into their “Chillers” friendship when he told Red that Cameron wasn’t loyal to him.

Later on, Cameron won the season’s fifth Power of Veto comp, the Comic-verse’s “Sludge Stackers,” in which the contestants had to stack 36 miniature bottles into a pyramid with their tweezers. Cameron obviously used the advantage to remove himself from the chopping block, and so Jared backdoored Jag after several people, including his mother Cirie Fields and girlfriend Blue Kim, mentioned Jag’s name.

Gold Derby’s users believe Red will be evicted this week (29/20 odds), and that it WILL be a unanimous vote (24/25 odds). Also, they predict “No One” will win a live competition (4/5 odds), as has been the case all season long. Finally, the vast majority of our contest players think host Julie Chen Moonves will say her trademark “But first” catchphrase live on air (7/100 odds).
