WATCH: Migrants ‘Will Destroy New York City,’ Mayor Says

New York City mayor Eric Adams said Wednesday that the ongoing migrant crisis would "destroy" the city.

"Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this," Adams said at an Upper West Side town hall. "This issue will destroy New York City."

Adams went on to say that the city was receiving 10,000 migrants every month, from "all over the globe."

Adams and other New York City Democrats have blasted the Biden administration for failing to provide resources to manage the migrant crisis. The Biden administration responded by blaming city and state officials for not communicating well with migrants and devoting insufficient resources to processing them.

A recent poll showed that 82 percent of New Yorkers believe the crisis is a "serious" issue, with 58 percent wanting to stop the flow from the southern border.

Adams stated that due to the deficit caused by the crisis, "every service in this city is going to be impacted."

"The city we knew, we’re about to lose," the mayor said.
