BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (PIX11) – Four people were injured in a shooting in Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The shooting happened near 56 Marcus Garvey Blvd. in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 3:40 p.m., according to the NYPD.
Someone got out of a vehicle driving down Marcus Garvey Boulevard and opened fire, police said. A 21-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest, a 25-year-old man was shot in the stomach, a 28-year-old man was shot in the back, and a 34-year-old woman was shot in the arm, according to police.
The shooter then got back into the vehicle with three other passengers and drove away, according to police. Three out of the four people in the vehicle were later taken into custody, authorities said. A fourth passenger remained at large.
Two of the people shot were hospitalized in critical condition, police said.
