Brit holidaymaker in coma after eight injured in horror oil tanker crash
EIGHT British holidaymakers were injured when an oil tanker slammed into their cars on a dual carriageway.
Finn Webber 23, and his brother Sam, 18, had to be cut free from the wreckage by fire crews.
The tanker ploughed into the group’s two vehicles after they performed emergency stops because of an accident ahead.
Finn suffered head injuries, a broken leg and dislocated hip and is emerging from a coma in hospital two weeks on.
Sam and sister Megan, 24, suffered broken bones but have returned home to Combwich, Somerset.
Another sister, Isobel, 15, mum Ali and dad Dan as well as two family friends were also hurt in the horror in Portugal.
An appeal to pay for Finn to be flown home has topped £50,000.
Organiser Iveta Lacy-Hulbert said: “The family are touched by the support.
“Just to know how many people care for Finn and for their family is helping them to feel stronger.
“Thank you very much to every single one of you who made a donation and sent messages.
“Those who know the Webbers personally know how kind, generous, and supportive they are towards other people and always help those in need.”
