I bagged one of the cheapest paddling pools in Britain on Amazon – but you won’t find it in the swimming section
A MUM has shared how her unconventional ‘paddling pool’ has proved a hit with her kids.
Brigitte Taylor purchased a pet pool and it has proved no match for her cat’s sharp claws.
The Pecute Paddling Pool For Dogs is sturdier than traditional paddling pools because it is foldable, rather than inflatable.
And the best bit? It’s currently on sale on Amazon.
“We bought this pool which is actually for dogs and pets in place of an inflatable paddling pool,” Brigitte penned in Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.
“We have a very active cat who, given the chance, could potentially puncture an inflatable one.
“It was £15.99 off Amazon. It folds up when not in use and you don’t have the hassle of deflating it afterwards.
“I thought it was a bargain at that price.”
The pool holds 300 litres of water and takes just 30 seconds to assemble, meaning you won’t have to stand around pumping it full of air.
It’s made of robust PVC material – to stop animal claws from penetrating it – and thickened fibreboard.
For any nicks and scratches, it comes with four repair patches to stick over the damage.
It also has high-strength crimping between each board to stop it from collapsing when filled with water.
It’s not just Brigitte who had the innovative idea.
Other parents have taken to Amazon to review the pool, dubbing it the “perfect size” for your little ones.
“Very good paddling pool,” one parent said. “The perfect size for my toddler.
“Easy to set up and easy to fold and store away, also very easy to clean.”
“Exactly what a family with one, two or three children needs,” another penned.
“It’s SO easy to set up.
“No inflating, no building, no tools and parts. Easy breeze on a hot day.”
Another mum said it was the “best quality pool” she has ever owned.
At time of writing, the XL size was reduced to £19.99 from £44.99, making it cheaper than half-price.
