BROTHERS suspected of sparking the murder of schoolgirl Olivia Pratt-Korbel by raiding a drug gang’s stash house have been jailed.
Jason and Craig Cox joined Liverpudlian criminal Richard Caswell to storm a house around the corner from where Olivia, nine, lived to steal cocaine worth £1million.
The robbery in May 2020 is believed to have infuriated Liverpool’s “most feared criminal firm” and led to a chain of events which resulted in the schoolgirl being shot in her own home.
On August 22 last year, Nee, 35, was targeted by hired hitman Thomas Cashman, 34, as he walked home from a friend’s house.
Cashman shot him in the street but Nee managed to run away into Olivia’s home after her mum heard a noise outside and opened the door to investigate.
Cashman chased Nee inside and shot wildly around the door, hitting Olivia as she cowered behind her mum Cheryl.
All three men pleaded guilty to conspiracy to rob at Manchester crown court.
The brothers — Jason, 37, of Warrington, and Craig, 34, of no fixed abode — were jailed for 14 and 13 years.
Caswell, 41, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to seven.
