Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the case remains under investigation, the police report states.
A Norwich man suffered serious injuries Saturday morning in a motor vehicle accident in Mansfield, according to a State Police report.
As a result of the accident, the 30-year-old man was transported to Hartford Hospital via LifeStar.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 21-year-old Mansfield man, was taken to Hartford Hospital by ambulance. A passenger in that vehicle was uninjured.
The accident occurred on Puddin Lane at the intersection of Storrs Road.
The accident report states that the airlifted driver was traveling southbound on Storrs Road north of the intersection with Puddin Lane and the other driver’s vehicle was travelling eastbound on Puddin Lane, taking a left turn onto Storrs Road.
The southbound vehicle struck the driver side door of the eastbound vehicle, the report states.
