Report: There is a ‘real possibility’ that 29-year-old could now leave Spurs
Football Insider have now claimed that Eric Dier could be open to a move away from Tottenham Hotspur after being left out of the matchday squad for the club’s trip to Brighton.
Over the past 24 hours, some contradictory reports have emerged over Dier’s future, with Alasdair Gold revealing via Football.London on Monday that, as things stand, the centre-back looks set to stay at the club and fight for his place.
However, 90 min claimed on Tuesday morning that Spurs are very much open to cashing in on the 29-year-old, who is allegedly attracting interest from Crystal Palace, Celtic, Monaco, Sporting Lisbon, Benfica, Al-Nasr, and several other clubs.

Football Insider have now asserted that there is now a ‘real possibility’ that Dier could leave the Lilywhites before the transfer window shuts on September 2.
The outlet claims that they have been informed by a ‘well-placed source’ that the England international could now be open to a move away from Tottenham after nine years at the club.
The report asserts that clubs have been alerted about the centre-back potentially being available on a cut-price deal.

Given Dier’s contract situation, there is no doubt that Tottenham would be open to offloading the centre-back.
The question is if the 30-year-old would be keen on a move. If he finds himself out of the matchday squad again over the next two matches, he might make up his mind to seek a new challenge.
