A SMART shopper has revealed her super chic find while browsing the aisles of the thrift store.
The lucky woman snagging a vintage Versace piece for a tiny fraction of the original price tag, spending only $3.
Danielle (@vintagebytheblonde) filmed herself in the thrift store in a video on TikTok.
She spotted what appeared to be the Versace logo on a decanter in the homeware section.
“Randomly stopped at a thrift store on the way home today and saw this from across the way.
I had a feeling what it might be, and for $3, I was more than happy to take the risk,” she said.
She specified that the decanter itself likely wasn’t from the famed designer, but her eyes were set on the stopper which featured the iconic Versace Medusa.
“This is definitely not the original decanter with it, but that’s okay, because taking the tape off, I had a feeling that it was gonna be what I thought it was,” she said.
She took it home and removed the taping to reveal the Versace print on the inside of the decanter stopper.
“Very exciting to see that it is a confirmed Rosenthal Versace Crystal Medusa head stopper in the amber color,” she said.
Danielle, who is a seasoned thrifter who runs a blog on second-hand shopping, described the find as “exciting.”
“Was very excited to find this today.
“I could see some writing when I first picked it up but confirmed it when I got home that it was in fact a 1990’s Rosenthal for Versace Crystal Medusa Head stopper in Amber,” she said.
The video drew in many viewers who shared their two cents on the purchase in the comment section.
“Nice find,” one wrote. “I think they often sell the stopper alone, so it may not have had a matching bottle.”
“Yeah I’m looking into them and they mostly sell alone,” Danielle replied. “There are a couple that came with a bottle. But usually alone.”
