My cheap hack will keep your kids entertained for hours on a road trip – even if they hate car rides
A MOM has shared the genius hack she uses to keep her kids entertained during long car rides.
The content creator showed her followers how well her handy trick worked on her toddler.
In her video, TikTok user Trisha McGann (@twelveshortmonths) demonstrated how she keeps her children occupied in the car.
The TikToker revealed her “road trip hack for toddlers who hate the car.”
Trisha explained to viewers that they’ll need “wrapping paper, toys, and a bucket.”
She then covered the toys that her toddler already owned in wrapping paper.
Before you begin your car journey, Trisha advised her followers to hide the wrapped toys out of site.
Over the course of your road trip, you can take the toys out one by one for your child to unwrap.
“Hours of entertainment or at least 20 minutes,” the TikTok user explained.
“Because 20 minutes of entertainment is 20 minutes,” she wrote in the caption.
In the comments section, the influencer wrote: “[It] definitely requires some supervision but it kept him busy for a solid hour of a three-hour trip so I’ll call it a win.”
Trisha also shared a pro tip for reducing the mess in your car as your toddler unwraps their toys.
She recommended hanging a plastic bag on the back of your seat to collect garbage.
