BISCUIT lovers might be interested to know about a McVities fan favourite that hasn’t been around in a while.
The white chocolate digestive was first launched almost 20 years ago – but can you still get your hands on it?
McVities is an icon on the biscuit aisle, but unlike the original, milk chocolate and dark chocolate versions fans may have noticed this one missing in recent years.
The white chocolate version has not been around for some time.
But we can now reveal, the McVities white chocolate digestive is making a comeback.
And here is everything you need to know about this popular choccy treat.
The white chocolate version of the McVities biscuit was last on the shelves as a limited edition back in 2005.
It has the classic digestive base and is covered with a layer of white chocolate.
And the good news for fans of this retro favourite is that it is back on the shelves after almost 20 years.
Biscuit lovers can currently get the white chocolate digestive in Sainsbury’s, but it will soon be sold in other supermarkets such as Co-op, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons.
A pack of 15 biscuits will cost you £1.89 in Sainsbury’s, and fans will be pleased to know it is now a permanent addition to the digestive section.
The return of the white chocolate digestive is not the only thing that has been putting a smile on shoppers’ faces.
Another McVities favourite hit the shelves lately.
Happy Faces – which were axed around 2015 – were spotted on Asda shelves again with one fan excitedly sharing the find to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.
The biscuits, which have jam and cream in the middle complete with a smiley face on top, cost £1 per pack.
The fan who spotted them posted a picture to Facebook, captioning it: “There back!!! ASDA £1”
Others in the comments were equally enthusiastic, with one responding: “Love these biscuits“
Another wrote: “I need these!!!”
Earlier this year, sales of Arctic Rolls rose by 143%, according to online retailer Ocado.
Shoppers can get the orginal made by Birds Eye for as little as £2 from Waitrose.
But you can also pick up supermarket own-brand versions for less.
Sales originally melted away in the 90s and Birds Eye, the manufacturer of the dessert, stopped producing it, but it was brought back in 2008.
