We could see a south pulse on Wednesday into the chest-high range at magnets in the afternoon. But, the wind is expected to be SE, so quality prospects are uncertain at best. The uptick in energy levels may peak overnight and be back to pretty small for Thursday.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure extends across the northern waters while a series of cold fronts will skim the far south today, bringing brief southwesterly changes to the southern waters. Southeast to southwesterly winds will spread along the New South Wales coast from Tuesday, and then gradually tend northerly later Wednesday, as a strong high pressure system slowly moves across the state and reaches the Tasman Sea. The next front looks set to arrive at the end of the week, with north to northwesterly winds increasing ahead of it.

- Westerly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore during the morning. Winds becoming variable below 10 knots in the late afternoon then becoming west to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots in the late evening.

- 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to 1 metre around midday.

- Southerly below 1 metre.

- West to southwesterly 15 to 20 knots turning south to southeasterly below 10 knots in the middle of the day then tending east to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the evening.
