Report: How much Tottenham are demanding to sell Giovani Lo Celso
CalcioMercato.it claim that Tottenham Hotspur have told Napoli they will have to pay a fee of €20m (£17.3m) excluding bonuses to sign Giovani Lo Celso.
There have been various updates from the Italian press over the last couple of days regarding Napoli’s pursuit of Lo Celso, and CM.it are the latest to report on where the situation stands.
The report starts by acknowledging that there is no shortage of suitors for the Argentine, which makes the operation difficult for the Serie A side.
Tottenham want over £17m for Lo Celso this year
It is explained that Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has found Daniel Levy ‘a tough nut to crack’, with the Spurs chairman said to have demanded that the Italian side pay €20m (£17.3m) for the player, excluding performance-related add-ons.
CM.it adds that for the moment, the Tottenham chairman is not open to any sort of loan deal but there is still hope in Naples that the North London club would soften their stance.
The outlet also reveals that the Serie A champions have reached out to Lo Celso’s entourage, with the player keen on making the move to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

£17m is quite a low figure for Lo Celso, given that he has two years left on his contract and is on the wanted list of many clubs.
If Tottenham do decide to cash in on the Argentine, they will look to get a bidding war going and bump his price up to around £22m-£25m.
