I had a terrible first date – it was so embarrassing that the whole coffee shop could hear our conversation
AN anime fan shared a terrible first-date story in a street interview.
She explained that the conversation was not only embarrassing but the entire coffee shop could hear their conversation.
Aliyah (@cuffed.dating) shared the story in a video with TikTok viewers.
“We started talking about our common interests, which happens to be anime and he starts obsessing,” she explained.
“He goes ‘I’ve never met a girl who likes anime before, this is so cool, I have to tell you something,'” she said.
She explained that in the anime Naruto, the main character Naruto is able to form energy in the shape of a ball in his palm called the Rasengan.
“We’re in the middle of a coffee shop right now and he’s talking very loudly and he’s like ‘Sometimes I’ll try and put a Rasengan in my hand when I’m walking,'” she revealed.
She was mortified by the attention they were receiving: “The entire coffee shop was looking at us,” she added.
Her date also revealed that he was a huge Marvel fan.
“He said sometimes deep down, I think some of us have superpowers,” she groaned, putting her hands to her head.
Her date revealed that sometimes he would pretend to shoot webs out of his hands like Spiderman.
“He was really nice but the entire coffee shop heard out entire conversation and I’ll never tell a guy that I’m into anime or Marvel ever again,” she joked.
