Report: Tottenham have just sent a ‘jaw-dropping’ new contract offer to one player
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly offered to make Harry Kane one of the Premier League’s top earners in an attempt to persuade the striker to commit his long-term future to the club and stave off interest from Bayern Munich this summer.
Harry Kane is often the centre of attention when it comes to Tottenham, but Spurs fans will be wishing their star man was staying out of the spotlight right now.
With just one year left on his current contract, speculation is mounting that the 29-year-old will leave the club.
As things stand, it seems Bayern Munich are the most likely outfit to offer Kane a way out of North London.
The German side have already had one offer rejected, but are preparing a new bid of around £80m for the England captain (Ben Jacobs).
Rio Ferdinand recently claimed Spurs would have to offer Kane somewhere in the region of £500,000-600,000 to persuade Kane to sign a new contract (FIVE), and he might not be far wrong.
Kane has been offered a huge pay rise
According to sources at Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur have “gone all out” in an attempt to keep hold of Kane and prevent him leaving on a free transfer next summer.
The report describes a “jaw-dropping new contract” which is set to eclipse his current wage of £200,000 and make him one of the highest earners in the English top flight.
It is thought Kane could match the salaries of the likes of Erling Haaland and Mo Salah, if accepted.
There is hope that the new offer, plus “squad improvements” can tempt Kane into sticking around.
However, it is believed the talismanic striker “has no plans” to extend his current deal and would rather “play a waiting game” when it comes to the next step in his career.

Rather than going out and spending tens of millions of pounds on a replacement for Harry Kane, we may as well pump that money into a new contract for him and really try and persuade him to commit to the new project at Spurs.
