Former Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger has been discussing Harry Kane’s rumoured move to the German club, and had plenty of reasons why the Spurs man should make the switch.
Harry Kane is the talk of the town right now, but it’s not his goalscoring feats that are hitting the headlines for once. Instead, with just one year left on his current contract, the 29-year-old is being linked with a move away from Spurs.

Another season has passed Tottenham and Kane by without a trophy to add to the cabinet, and many have suggested it is time for the England captain to leave his boyhood club in search of silverware.
As things stand, Bayern Munich are the front runners to land the talismanic striker. The Bundesliga giants have had one bid rebuffed for Kane, but are preparing to come back with an improved offer (Ben Jacobs).
While many Spurs fans are desperate for Kane to stay in North London, the merits of joining Bayern have been played up by Bastian Schweinsteiger.
When asked if Kane would be a good fit for Bayern, Schweinsteiger told talkSPORT: “Yes, 100 per cent. Bayern Munich are looking for a proper striker like [Robert] Lewandowski.
“Choupo-Moting is not good enough and so he’s more the plan B solution, but Bayern Munich would of course like to sign Harry Kane.”
And Schweinsteiger was quick to recommend Bavaria as a place for Kane to relocate: “I think it would be a great fit for him as well. He has to ask himself if he wants to win a league, a title in his life as a football player – you know, a championship or a Champions League.
“I know he’s a person who likes to have his family and his friends around him and Munich is the best place for that.
“You have a beautiful area around where you can live and where your family can grow up and it’s safe.
“Also the experience abroad that I had when I went to Man United helped me a lot and I grew as a person as well, and of course, as a football player he’d have a very good team around him and a very good coach, so there are a lot of things speaking for him in his favour.”

I think the one thing Kane will be most apprehensive about is relocating to Germany as opposed to staying in London where he is comfortable. Let’s hope he is too much of a home bird to take that leap.
