UFC heavyweight champ Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic CONFIRMED with huge clash to top UFC 295 in New York in November
JON JONES will defend his UFC heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic on November 11 in New York City.
The blockbuster bout will take place at UFC 295, nearly 30 years to the day since the promotion’s first ever event.
Appearing at UFC 290’s ceremonial weight-in last night, president Dana White confirmed that the huge fight had been signed.
Jones, 35, returned after a three-year absence in March – defeating Ciryl Gane to claim heavyweight glory for the first time.
After the bout, Jonny Bones took to the mic to call out Miocic.
Addressing the former long-time heavyweight champ, who was in attendance, Jones said: “Stipe Miocic, I hope you’ve been training my guy.
“You’re the greatest heavyweight of all-time, and that’s what I want. I want you – real bad.”
Miocic, 40, will finally return to the octagon – having not fought since losing his title to Francis Ngannou in March 2021.
The huge bout will take place at Madison Square Garden – and could be New York native Jones’ final battle.
He said in May: “I feel like the Stipe fight will be plenty for me.

“I really don’t feel like I have much to prove after beating Stipe Miocic. I’ve been in the game a long time, and in fighter years, I’m an old guy.
“I’ve got some small injuries and I just really want to be around.
“I want to be around for my family, I want to be around for my kids, I want to be able to play with my kids and have a good head on my shoulders, and joints that work.”
Jones had been heavily linked with a fight with Ngannou, before the former heavyweight king walked out on the UFC for the PFL.
The duo recently faced off at a PFL event in Atlanta.
But it is Tyson Fury that is set to be the Cameroonian’s next opponent.
Ngannou’s deal with the PFL allows him to engage in other projects.
He is set to fight the Gypsy King later this year, without Fury’s WBC belt being on the line.
