DRIVERS have been left stunned after realising that they have a nifty device hidden in their cars – and it’s very easy to use.
While you might think you know your car like the back of your hand, you could be missing out on some essential extras.
TikTok user @francescaca7 took to social media to show users that there’s a warning triangle hidden in her Audi A3.
She revealed that the factory-supplied warning triangle is attached to the inside of the boot lit.
She titled the video: “I’ve had this car for four years and just realised it has this nifty little device in the boot.”
At the end of the video, she places the warning triangle in front of her vehicle to demonstrate to her followers that she actually knows how to use it.
The video has gone viral on TikTok with more than 3.8million views – and users were quick to comment below.
One said: “How do you all pass your theory tests without knowing what that is?”
Another said: “Clearly, you bought your car without doing research and just bought it because it looked nice and people said to do it.”
A third pointed out: “Do they not teach you in driving school in the UK that it is mandatory to have one in every car.. you should also learn how to use it correctly.”
According to the Highway Code, if you breakdown on a carriageway, you should put a warning triangle on the road at least 45 metres behind your broken-down vehicle.
Not using one could result in a horror crash that might prove devastating.
You can use your warning triangle on dual carriageways, but you should never use them on motorways.
If you have to stop at the side of the motorway, you should still use your hazard warning lights.
This comes after drivers were vowed by a few mystery items hidden in their cars.
