JON Kay was forced to apologise to BBC Breakfast fans as a technical blunder wreaked havoc with a report.
The seasoned presenter, 53, was on the iconic red sofa alongside Sally Nugent, 51.

Kevin, 63, is charged with sexually assaulting four men in charges dating back as far as 22 years.
As the BBC’s reporter outside the court took viewers through the facts, his audio suddenly dropped.
After an awkward pause, Jon stepped in and immediately apologised to viewers for the blunder.
He said: “Sorry about that. We’ve got a problem with the audio link there to Southwark Crown Court.
“But Joe will be covering that Kevin Spacey case for BBC News throughout the day and you can follow it on all platforms.”
Sally then quickly moved on with the rest of the day’s headlines.
