Spencer Butt, IF, American Heritage senior: Butt was a key cog in the Patriots’ state title-winning lineup, batting .342 with five home runs — including one in the title game — and 32 RBIs. He had a 1.051 OPS and five steals.
Brad Dunn, OF, Cardinal Gibbons senior: Dunn paced the Chiefs with a .507 batting average but also had some pop in his bat. He hit three home runs and had a 1.260 OPS.
Talan Holiday, P, American Heritage sophomore: Holiday became the Patriots’ ace, going 9-1 and pitching three shutouts. Holiday posted a 1.28 ERA and struck out 81 batters in 65 2/3 innings. In the state semifinals, he pitched 6 1/3 innings and allowed one earned run while striking out nine Lake City Columbia batters.
Tugg Hollandsworth, OF, Cardinal Gibbons senior: Hollandsworth provided the pop in the Chiefs’ lineup, hitting .394 with a 1.224 OPS and seven home runs.
Ian Hurt, OF, Pine Crest junior: Hurt was a threat at the plate and on the base paths, hitting .429 with 23 steals (second-most in Broward County). He also hit two home runs and put up a 1.248 OPS.
Andrew Ildefonso, UTIL, Archbishop McCarthy senior: Ildefonso had a strong season at the plate and on the mound. He hit .411 with a home run, 25 RBIs and 11 stolen bases. He also pitched 33 2/3 innings with a 2.14 ERA.
Julian Irizarry, OF, Westminster Academy junior: Irizarry went from a solid contributor to one of the most dangerous hitters in South Florida, hitting .517 with an astronomical 1.474 OPS. The Pittsburgh commit hit seven home runs with 16 total extra-base hits, helping lead Westminster Academy to the Class 2A state semifinals for the first time since 2000.
Riley Luft, UTIL, North Broward Prep junior: Luft was a jack-of-all-trades in his junior year. He pitched in 14 games, starting three, and had a 1.43 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 34 1/3 innings. The Appalachian State commit had seven saves. Luft also hit the ball well, batting .395 with a 1.286 OPS and five home runs. He stole seven bases, for good measure.
Robert Nedry, IF, Westminster Academy senior: Nedry, an NC State signee, put up a .449 batting average and a 1.131 OPS during the Lions state semifinal run. He hit one home run and stole eight bases.
Jordan Rich, OF, American Heritage sophomore: Rich had a breakout season for the state champion Patriots, hitting .414 with a .992 OPS and 16 stolen bases.
Mateo Serna, C, American Heritage senior: Serna, a power-hitting catcher, led the Patriots with seven home runs. He hit .325 with a 1.190 OPS.
Nathaniel Coupet, OF, North Broward Prep senior: Coupet helped power North Broward Prep back to Fort Myers, hitting .420 and smashing eight home runs. Coupet led Broward County with 37 RBIs and had a 1.361 OPS. The senior Georgia Tech signee dabbled with time on the round, pitching five innings and giving up just one run.
Eddie Marshall, C, Pompano Beach: Marshall was a breakout power hitter, crushing seven home runs while hitting .317 with a 1.239 OPS.

Ernie Gonzalez, Westminster Academy: Gonzalez led the Lions to a 16-10-1 record this season, clinching the team’s third straight district title. Westminster found more success in the playoffs, earning their first regional title and first trip to the state semifinals since 2000. However, the Lions lost to Orange Park St. Johns Country Day in the state semifinals.
