There’s likely a logical and emotional reason that both Princess Catherine (aka Kate Middleton) and Queen Camilla were spotted out wearing nearly identical green dresses this week.
The 41-year-old Princess of Wales visited the Riversley Park Children’s Centre on Thursday (June 15) wearing a long-sleeved dress with a green graphic print. She went viral after having a funny reaction to a baby burping next to her.
People also couldn’t help noticing that her dress was very similar to a long-sleeved, green polka-dotted dress that the Queen wore on Wednesday (June 14).
While neither royal has confirmed the reason for their similar looks, it appears that the green might have been a special tribute.

People noted that the pair’s green dresses were worn out on or right after the sixth anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire that left 72 dead in 2017. The color green has become closely related to remembering the victims of the devastating tragedy.
Princess Catherine and Prince William‘s Twitter account posted a green heart emoji on the anniversary on Wednesday, further hinting that the royal might have been keeping the victims close to her heart the following day.
