Second deadly shark spotted off Spanish holiday coast in just two days after beach-goers seen fleeing from water
A SECOND deadly shark has been spotted off the Spanish coast in just two days.
Terrified bathers tried to run to safety through waist-high water on Thursday after a shark neared the shoreline off a Costa Blanca beach.
The incident happened at Aguamarina Beach in Orihuela Costa, south of Alicante, in Spain, around 10am.
And on Friday morning, footage showed another shark lurking in the water at the port in Ciutadella in Menorca.
Its early morning appearance close to the shoreline sparked fears it could be injured.
It comes amid reports that the shark seen at Aguamarina Beach was found dead a couple of miles north.
Initial reports suggested it was a 7ft tintorera or blue shark.
The beast sparked chaos as lifeguards blew on their whistles to warn holidaymakers about the big fish and urged them to get out of the sea as quickly as possible.
On Friday, footage appeared to show the lifeless shark lying on its side in the sea close to a strip of sand where people were sunbathing.
It comes days after a tourist was ripped apart by a shark in the Red Sea.
One woman, thought to have been an elderly person seen being helped out of the water by Good Samaritans, is said to have suffered a panic attack after realising the shark was beside her.
