MANCHESTER UNITED could be set for a summer of blockbuster transfers as their Qatari takeover grows nearer.
Club legend Rio Ferdinand claimed on Thursday that the announcement of Sheikh Jassim as the Red Devils’ new owner was “imminent”.
And that £5.5billion state-backed takeover is set to bring with it an influx of cash for Erik ten Hag to spend in the summer transfer window.
Man Utd have been linked with a host of names already as they look to do business to bolster their squad.
But a handful of names have stuck out as the ones supporters are keen to keep an eye on.
They include Paris Saint-Germain duo Kylian Mbappe and Neymar – both of whom have made noises about a potential departure from the French capital.
Mbappe, 24, has been linked with Real Madrid, while Chelsea and a host of Saudi Arabian clubs are in the market for Neymar.
But Man Utd remain in the frame for both players if they are to move in the window.
Porto keeper Diogo Costa has been mooted as a possible replacement for David de Gea in between the sticks.
That is as Brentford shot-stopper David Raya looks to be closing in on a move to Tottenham.

Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae is another name who appears to be in line for a switch to Old Trafford.
He would likely partner Lisandro Martinez next season, with Raphael Varane also competing for a starting place and Harry Maguire being sold.
Finally, Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes are expected to be joined in the midfield by Chelsea and England star Mason Mount, 24.
United have seen a £40million bid rejected by the Blues, but remain confident a deal can be struck as Mount enters the final 12 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
