India's telecom companies are employing more temporary staff, specifically at the entry and junior levels, as new technologies evolve and recessionary trends persist. This has been due to the rise in demand for contract staff, which now account for 20% to 22%, up from previously 12% and 15% a decade ago. Some staffing experts predict that temporary staff could account for as much as 40% of telecoms' workforces by 2028. This new hiring trend proves to be more efficient in meeting the demands of newer technologies and related applications.
