I stopped shaving my pits ages ago – I’m trolled but don’t care, I don’t let other people live rent-free in my head
A WOMAN has revealed how she stopped shaving her armpits years ago and doesn’t care about being trolled.
Terri revealed how she wasn’t always as confident as she was now, but she’s changed her thinking and doesn’t let other people’s opinions affect her.
On her @alwaysterri account, she wrote: “I wasn’t always this confident!
“But feeling insecure & opinions of others were living rent free in my head.
“I had to kick them out!”
Terri said that she struggled with her self image after suffering an injury, but has learned to love herself again.
She continued: “I had a bad neck injury & put on weight, I was burnt out AF, so I couldn’t workout, couldn’t teach Yoga, couldn’t do much for myself, so my body changed & I was just tired of crying daily about how I look.
“I thought waaaaait a minute, I can choose to love myself, right now, in this state, so I did.
“I just couldn’t be bothered to feel bad about how I look anymore, I know I’m a Goddess even when I feel like a gremlin, but it’s not everyday slay, some days slug.
“AND THATS OKAYYYY!”
Her video was in response to a cruel troll who had criticised her for not shaving her pits.
They had nastily written: “Of course you are not afraid of confrontation.
“All you have to do is hold your arms up and [sick emoji] people with those pits].”
Terri appeared unbothered by the criticism and happily danced with her unshaven pits on view for all to see – and said people shouldn’t “internalise capitalism.”
Many people praised her confidence, with one saying: “Never shave, you are a star.”
Another added: “You’re beautiful. Every bit of you.”
