Season 2022/23 has drawn to a close for the Men’s First Team at Queen’s Park and it is very appropriate that the club pays thanks to our off the field heroes who helped out fantastically well in our first season in the second level of Scottish Football in forty years.
Firstly, our thanks go to the fans who have displayed a supportive ‘Allez le Hoops’ spirit throughout a campaign that has taken us on journeys to home games as well as to Stranraer and Inverness with a lot of stops in-between, including one in Belfast.
Seeing supporters in Black and White colours is always a boost to the everyone involved at Queen’s Park ahead of a game.
We would also like to say thanks the people behind the scenes at our club and at Stenhousemuir who have helped Queen’s Park throughout the past 10 months. Whether that is in planning and organising games, ball attendants, safety issues or raising the profile of the club through words and pictures – you have all made a difference.
The people at Ochilview were very accommodating throughout our time there and went out of their way to make the experience of playing games there a positive one.
The club has shown itself this season to be one that works diligently with sponsors and partners to ensure growth and value on both sides whether that be a jersey sponsor, game sponsor or a backer of one of our on-line activities.
Finally, we would like to acknowledge and pay thanks to the local schools that we have worked with throughout the season. It is not just about turning up and handing out free tickets, it is deeper than that – it is about building fans for future years and we look forward to doing more of the same next season.
