Associate Coach Brad Tesink re-signs with Spruce Kings
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Spruce Kings are excited to have Brad Tesink returning as their associate coach for the 2023-24 BC Hockey League season.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to continue my work with the Spruce Kings,” said Tesink. “Having the opportunity to continue to build this team with Mike, Alex and the rest of our staff made the decision very easy as I see great things in the future for our organization.”

Tesink came to Prince George after spending time as a head coach in the Maritime Junior Hockey League with the South Shore Lumberjacks. The native of Saint John, New Brunswick was a member of the coaching staff for Team New Brunswick during the 2023 Canada Winter Games on Prince Edward Island.
“I’m excited to have Brad back with us for another season,” said GM Mike Hawes. “He’s a very knowledgeable and hard-working coach who can relate to and understand today’s players. He works very well in unison with [head coach] Alex. Having them both back next season was important to me because continuity and consistency are important in junior hockey.”
During his playing career, Tesink played four seasons of major junior hockey. Playing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, he spent time with the Gatineau Olympiques, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. In 2010, Tesink won the Maritime Junior Hockey League championship with the Woodstock Slammers.
The Spruce Kings are excited to have Tesink on staff as we get set for the 2023-24 season.
