DEAR DEIDRE: A WOMAN I was talking to for more than a year has blocked my number suddenly.
We had been getting on so well and were talking about getting married.
Our relationship was long-distance – we live 200 miles apart. I’m 25 and she’s 23.
We used to video call each other and would message constantly on social media, but then she blocked me on everything except Instagram.
The video and voice calls stopped overnight.
Things had been great, then she went away on a family holiday for a few weeks and when she returned she distanced herself from me.

As you have no means of contacting her it would be best to accept this is over and move on.
Perhaps she simply had a change of heart or her parents pressured her into giving you up while she was away with them.
If she’s still living at home and reliant on them she would not want to go against them.
