Packaged foods companies must focus on nutrition and health to meet increasing consumer demands for healthier products, according to Rajneet Kohli, CEO of India’s Britannia Industries. He said the firm was developing products to meet “health codes” and producing new items in the nutrition direction. The move follows rising concern among Indian customers over products high in sugar, salt or transfat. Britannia makes a wide range of items, including biscuits, cookies, milk and cheese.
