TAYLOR Swift and Matty Healy will confirm their relationship on stage in Nashville tonight.
After The Sun exclusively revealed the pair were an item yesterday, the 1975 frontman is due to appear as a special guest on the homecoming leg of his superstar girlfriend’s Eras tour.
Matty, 34, is expected to perform two of Taylor’s tracks — after she sang two of his at his band’s London show in February.
A source close to Taylor said last night: “Taylor and Matty have been planning their ‘coming out’ for a few weeks now, and are really excited just to go public with their love.
“Neither of them want any secrets, or to hide away. The plan is for Matty to walk out on stage mid-show and play two songs.
“They will chat to the audience and, at present, the idea is for them to confirm their romance with some kind of PDA — public display of affection. It won’t be anything remotely cheesy though.”
Since news of their relationship broke — three months after her split from Brit actor Joe Alwyn, 32 — her fans have gone into meltdown.
Within hours, the couple were both trending on Twitter.
Taylor, 33, and Matty, son of Loose Women panellist and former Corrie star Denise Welch, have been leaving “Easter eggs’ — clues hinting about their relationship — over the past month.
In addition, the hashtag “Denise Welsh becoming Taylor Swift’s mother-in-law is the plot twist we never knew 2023 needed” was also trending on Twitter yesterday.
The backstage photo of Densie and Taylor taken at The 1975’s London O2 gig in February has similarly gone viral.
Denise, 64, has yet to comment about the relationship on her social media, but her son’s new romance was a hot topic on Loose Women.
Co-star Charlene White, 42, was particularly excited about the discussion, suggesting Denise could persuade the US superstar to join the show’s annual Christmas choir, before adding: “There’s a whole world of things we could do with Taylor.”
Matt’s dad Tim Healy, the former Auf Wiedersehen Pet star, has also remained silent on his social media channels.
But the unlikely link between the 71-year-old gritty Geordie actor, who played grumpy construction boss Dennis Patterson in the cult TV drama, has not been lost on fans, with one tweeting: “If anything, I hope this means we get a Taylor Swift music video with Tim Healy in it.”

There is no suggestion of a crossover, with sources close to the former couple suggesting they split in February.
Intriguingly, Taylor and Matty worked together on tracks intended for her album Midnights two years ago, in the midst of her relationship with Joe.
But the material never made the record, when it was released in October last year.
Matty defended the decision the following month, saying, “It didn’t work out”, adding it was, “For reasons that are not to be criticised. She’s amazing”.
He also shared that Taylor had listened to The 1975’s record Being Funny In A Foreign Language before it came out in 2020.
Matty is the latest in a long line of Brits charmed by Taylor.
As well as The Favourite star Joe, she has also dated DJ Calvin Harris, actor Tom Hiddleston and singer Harry Styles, the latter introducing her to cult British TV shows, particularly comedies.
The Pennsylvania-born superstar is also close pals with singer Ed Sheeran, who she famously introduced to her girl squad, featuring model Gigi Hadid and the Haim sisters, while he was attempting to break America.

Before that, Taylor shared Joe’s apartment in Crouch End in North London.
She spent most of lockdown in the UK, where she is able to keep a low profile and avoid being recognised by fans.
She is also a big fan of British boozers, which she frequently visited with Joe.
But as well as having homes in the UK, the singer — worth an estimated £360million — also has properties in New York, Nashville, Los Angeles and Rhode Island.
Taylor’s close pal Gigi, who used to date One Direction star Zayn Malik, revealed in 2016 what tempts the singer into dating men from the UK.
She said: “I think we both like the British sense of charm.”
Matty previously dated British musician FKA Twigs, real name Tahliah Barnett, the pair going official just before lockdown.
However, the relationship ended last year, with the couple blaming “work commitments”.
It has also been rumoured that Matty was in a relationship with US singer Halsey in 2015, sparked by her appearance at a 1975 gig.
The same year Halsey collaborated with Matty’s band on their track Ghost, but neither ever confirmed they were dating.

In 2014, months after The 1975 released their debut album, Taylor was photographed wearing a top featuring the band’s name.
Later that year, Matty wore a 1989 T-shirt during a concert to support the release of her No1 album of the same name.
