I’M A Celeb star Paul Burrell has been branded ‘a snake’ by furious fans who claimed he tried to lead campmates in a revolt against Joe Swash.
I’m A Celebrity viewers were stunned to see Princess Diana’s former butler in a late night chat with Fatima Whitbread to convince her to take over the leadership reigns from newcomer Joe.
Paul left fans gobsmacked by his antics in the camp on Wednesday night’s show.
He was seen moving over to Fatima in the night and telling her: “I wish you were in the top three. You deserve to be in the top three.”
Comparing Olympian Fatima to a warrior, he said: “I want Alexander the Great to fight for us. I don’t want Joe the baker to fight for us.”
Fatima looked shocked when he continued: “But you can step up and save the day.”
Fans were gobsmacked at the scenes that were unfolding and flocked to Twitter to post snake emojis.
One wrote: “Paul is a snake.”
A second said: “Paul Burrell is such a snake, and let’s be honest not ONE of us is even a little bit surprised.”
Another said: “Paul has taken an instant dislike to Joe, think he’s jealous.”
A fourth said: “I do not like Paul being b**chy to Joe.”
Earlier in the day Joe and Dean left fans in hysterics as they played pranks on their cast-mates hiding their items.
Meanwhile fans have hailed EastEnders’ legends Dean and Joe the ‘saviours of the show’ after they arrived this week to take part in the ‘most disgusting’ game in the show’s history.
One fan Tweeted: “Whoever booked Dean and Joe deserves a pay rise.”
Another said: “That trial with Joe & Dean is hands down the best trial ever. Dean’s entry trial when he was first in it was always my fave, but this was better.”
