TOPEKA (KSNT) - Police and emergency crews responded to an area of Central Topeka Tuesday afternoon following a report of a shooting.
At 5:12 p.m., Ron Ekis with the Topeka Police Department said the victim of the shooting, an adult male, has died at a local hospital.
Several police and other emergency vehicles were at the intersection of Southwest 17th St. and Southwest Central Park Ave. on April 18. Tape was put up around a home in the area.
Gretchen Spiker with the City of Topeka told KSNT 27 News that a shooting occurred in the 900 block of Southwest 17th St. The circumstances of the shooting are not yet known.
Less than 24 hours ago, another man was shot and later died at a Topeka hospital.
