Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming Nintendo showcase.
The Nintendo Switch might be pushing seven years old, but there’s still lots of life in everyone’s hybrid console. So much, in fact, that Nintendo is holding another Indie World broadcast this week – we’ll list the details below.
On Tuesday, Nintendo announced that the next Nintendo Indie World Showcase is happening on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 9 a.m. PDT // 12 p.m. EDT // 4 p.m. GMT. It’ll be live on Nintendo’s official Youtube channel here and is roughly 20 minutes long. It’s certainly not a bad way to start the day! Hopefully, this is where we’ll finally see Hollow Knight: Silksong again – fingers crossed, anyway.
To be upfront: Nintendo hasn’t made any sort of announcement regarding what’ll specifically be shown off during the broadcast. It’s (obviously) a showcase deliberately for indie games that are coming for Nintendo Switch, so your guess is as good as ours! You can probably bet there’ll be some stealth drops on the Nintendo eShop as the show goes on, though.
What we can say is don’t expect Nintendo’s first-party heavy hitters like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom or Metroid Prime 4 because, well, those aren’t ‘indie’ at all, are they? All good things come to those who wait and all that jazz.
