I’m a mum-of-six and we live in a hotel, trolls say it’s no way to raise kids – I don’t care, it’s convenient and cheap
A DOTING mum has revealed she lives in a hotel with her partner and six children, but trolls say it’s unfair on her brood.
Hitting back at those who aren’t for their current lifestyle, Gwen Donnelly took to her TikTok account to share a clip on all the “perks of living in a hotel with six kids”.
Dressed in an orange T-shirt with a pair of light blue jeans, the red-haired beauty could first be seen sitting on the floor as she cleared up her children’s toys.
“Only one room to clean,” she wrote over this, clearly happy to be doing less housework than before.
The video progressed along to Wham!’s Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go as she then shared a scene of one of her kids watching TV.
Over this, she wrote: “Cable included”.
Another scene showed one of her kids relaxing on a bed as they played on a tablet device while surrounded with pillows and a Mickey Mouse toy.
“Beds included,” she said over this.
Flicking a switch and turning on the shower, she explained that electricity and water is included, meaning they could have “unlimited showers”.
“Free breakfasts,” she continued before adding that she gets unlimited coffee for a “girl who’s a caffeine aholic”. [sic]
TikTok user @gwendonnelly0 added that they have “free security” as there’s always someone at the front desk.
“Well thats a plus right???” [sic] she wrote in the caption.
People in the comments were left divided about her lifestyle as one person questioned: “is it fair to the kids though?”
Another cruelly commented: “This is not a life nothing to flex about”.
And one person shared: “well that’s not what you, want forr your kids.. That’s not living a good life. You failed them”. [sic]
To this, Gwen replied with a video, where she said: “And how do you think i failed them???? [sic]
“I would think giving up would be failing them. I feel so bad for people like you… We will pray for you tonight”.
She added in the caption: “we dont like negativity”. [sic]
Others were praised and could relate to Gwen’s life though as one person wrote: “people are so judgemental it makes me sick. I’ve lived the hotel life with kids…and guess what my kids knows what real life is…and have compassion”. [sic]
Another said: “Once lived a year in a trash Motel with my 3 year old and Parents. Now we are all thriving!!” [sic]
While a third added: “girl I live in a hotel too and people say this to me too”. [sic]
And when one person asked why she doesn’t rent a place, Gwen explained it seems impossible to do so as prices have risen.
Though the family live in a hotel right now, it appears they plan on moving into a property they own.
