YouTube teen star Sophia Grace reveals her baby’s unusual name a month after giving birth
YOUTUBE star Sophia Grace has finally revealed her baby’s name when she posted a video on her social media.
The 19 year old mum of one, who shot to fame when she appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show as a child, took to her YouTube channel and told fans her baby is named River.
She said: “The name that we picked is River. I just think it’s very, very unique and I don’t really hear many people called it.”
She added: “And I really love nature related things. I love nature, I love trees, I love the forest, I love the ocean and obviously River is like a part of nature, so I just thought it was a really cool name.”
Sophia announced she was expecting her first child in October last year and gave birth last month.
And already it seems as though she is already starting to navigate her way through being a new mum and maintaining her content.
Earlier in her video, she apologised to fans for not posting as much. She said: “As I said my uploading schedule is not going to be the same as it usually was, because obviously I have had a baby now.”
She then went on to say: ” And I do find it quite hard sometimes to film a video as I’m sure you guys can imagine.”
Sophia has had a partner for more than two years but he prefers to stay out of the limelight.
As a child star, Sophia became incredibly famous when she performed Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass along with her cousin Rosie.
The pair wore tutus during their television debut with Ellen DeGeneres.
Sophia was only eight years old when she became an overnight sensation.
Following her successful first appearance, Ellen repeatedly brought Sophia and Rosie back onto the show – and sent them on red carpet trips to interview the celebrities they were in love with.
