MasterChef judge refuses to eat contestant’s dish in knock-out first round leaving fans puzzled
MASTERCHEF fans were left puzzled after a guest judge on the show revealed they wouldn’t be eating the contestant’s dishes.
The latest knock-out round saw three former MasterChef stars invited back to judge the current home cooks on Friday night.
Viewers watched on as last year’s winner Eddie, and runners-up Pookie and Radha, returned for the new episode of the show.
Terri, Matthew, Nickolas and Vanessa took to the kitchen to battle it out in two dishes to serve in the dining room.
The trio were presented with the delicious dishes before tasting and sending their verdict to hosts John Torode and Gregg Wallace.
However, viewers were left confused as one of the judges revealed they would not be trying the main element of the first dish.
Vanessa served up a Goan fish curry for the panel, alongside a side-salad named after her with all her favourite veggies.
Law graduate Radha, 24, was seen tasting the salad before telling her fellow judges that she wouldn’t be eating the fish curry.
“I’ve not had the fish, being a vegetarian and all, but the salad is genius,” she told her co-stars. “I’m really enjoying this dish.”
Fans were left baffled as the amateur chefs served up dishes including steamed cod, chicken and octopus, which Radha avoided.
Taking to Twitter, one fan hit out: “Imagine inviting someone on to judge that doesn’t eat meat or fish when everyone’s cooked it?”
“Why are they inviting a vegetarian to judge meat? Are they going to invite someone with a peanut allergy to judge a nut roast?” a second said.
“Why on earth do you have a judge on master chef who is a vegan no fish or meat? She’s only trying sauce…” a third added.
While a fourth joked: “Radha must be the executive sauce and gravy judge tonight,” a fifth said: “Bit weird having a veggie on the judging panel for this round.”
“Why is Radha there? If she’s veggie she can’t taste all the dishes. Pointless, really,” a sixth concluded.
