[Football] Falcon duo earns spot on National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society List
IRVING, Texas – The Friends University football duo of Waylon Chance (SR/Valley Center, Kan.) and Tucker Trevett (SR/Wichita, Kan.) have each been named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society list, announced today (Apr. 12) by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. Friends was one of only three KCAC schools (Ottawa, Southwestern) represented on this prestigious list.
To be eligible to receive this award, the player must be a senior that completed their final year of playing eligibility in 2022 and will graduate this spring/summer, or has already graduated and been out of high school for at least three years. The nominee must also have a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade point average and have served as a starter or significant contributor this past season.
Scholar recognition is nothing new to Chance and Trevett, as each player earned both NAIA and KCAC Scholar-Athlete honors earlier this season.
An All-KCAC performer, Chance gave the Falcons a solid complementary running and receiving option this season by ranking second on the team in rushing yards (490) and hauling in five receptions for 92 yards.
Trevett meanwhile led the Falcons in sacks (two) this past season and made 10 tackles overall, including two for loss.
