A man was hospitalized after he was assaulted by four people during an attempted car burglary in the driveway of his Rocky Hill home on Monday.
The Rocky Hill Police Department said the incident was reported at about 7:02 p.m. on Valley View Drive, where a homeowner approached a single suspect who was in his motor vehicle. The incident turned physical before three additional suspects from a waiting car nearby began to assault the man, police said. He would later be taken to an area hospital and treated for his injuries.
The suspects, who were wearing masks, left the area in a dark blue or black Mercedes sedan, according to Rocky Hill police.
Responding officers could not locate the suspects who have been described as “younger in age” males, according to police. The incident was captured on the homeowner’s video surveillance system.
Rocky Hill police said they are still investigating and asking anyone with information to contact Det. Matthew Seguin at 860-258-2047 or mseguin@rockyhillct.gov.
