EastEnders viewers thrilled as Lily Slater finally reveals the gender of her baby
LILY Slater and Ricky Mitchell finally revealed the gender of their unborn baby and the families couldn’t be happier.
Despite their turbulent history, the Brannings and Slaters came together to celebrate the gender of the young teens baby.
Lily (Lilian Turner) couldn’t wait to share her news with the family after she found out the sex of her baby in her 20 week scan.
She insisted they throw a gender reveal party to mark the occasion.
Lily and Jean (Gillian Wright) baked a cake for the party, adding either blue or pink food colouring.
However, when Lily cut into the cake, it came out green leading to many confused.
Until Ricky (Frankie Day) blurted out: “You said it was pink.”
Lily replied: “Oh just tell them why don’t you.”
An excited Jean yelled: “It’s a girl!” followed by everyone cheering and applauding.
“Another Slater lady!” Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) chimed in.
Jack joked: “Good luck with that son.”
Viewers took to social media to share their excitement after Lily and Ricky’s latest news.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: “Aww so cute.”
Another wrote: “So happy for Lily.”
However, Lily’s mum Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) had to miss the gender reveal to repay a loan shark.
Stacey went to Kat and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) for help after the loan shark broke into the Slater home and threatened her.
Kat said she would sort it and lend her the money, while Phil went with Stacey to meet the loan shark with a baseball bat in hand in case he tried to attack her again.
Phil and Stacey ordered the loan shark to take the money and never show his face around here again.
But is this end of Stacey’s money problems?
When Stacey returned home, Lily gave her the news that she will having a granddaughter.
Stacey rushed to hug her daughter and repeatedly screamed “a girl” in excitement.
