THROUGHOUT a decade-long career at Hooters, a server managed to have exactly one mortifying moment.
Of course, it’s just her luck that the embarrassing incident was caught by a security camera.
Louisiana-based server Paige (@paigelynnpleasee) has worked at the iconic restaurant chain for a long time.
Now 27, Paige said one incident from her time as a Hooters girl still haunts her.
On her TikTok account, Paige has shared several charming posed snaps of herself in uniform and clips from life at Hooters.
But the video of her “incident” isn’t like the rest of her content.
The scene, captured on a security camera, started off peacefully enough.
A wall-mounted camera showed a high angle of a (somewhat messy) prep area.
At first, there didn’t seem to be motion in the kitchen or pantry, but Paige told viewers to be patient.
“Wait for it,” she wrote in the caption.
Sure enough, 10 seconds into the clip, Paige came flying into frame head-first.
She had apparently tripped on something off-screen, which sent her falling into the area captured by the camera.
The server hit the ground hard, with her knees unprotected because of the tiny orange shorts.
After she came to a stop, she stayed completely still for a few seconds before dragging herself up to a seated position.
Paige visibly screamed and pounded her fists, sobbing while another employee came in to help her.
Thankfully, she’s alive and well, and fully recovered from her fall despite the ominous skull emoji a viewer left in the comments.
“I worked at Hooters for 10 years and fell once,” Paige wrote in the video description.
“But man,” she said, “that one time made up for it.”
She added some colorful hashtags to convey the scale of her embarrassment. First up: “I ate s**t.”
The hashtag “leave me there” captured her sense of defeat at the moment the video was captured.
Meanwhile, “first and last time” reassured viewers that this was a one-off incident.
