A WOMAN has hit back at trolls who accused her of trying to make her garden look like Love Island.
Sophie took to TikTok to share a video of her garden transformation.
In the clip, she showed the back garden as it looked before – with overgrown grass and weeds, unruly flowerbeds and old children’s play equipment.
She then showed the new look.
In place of the grass was fake astroturf, while the flowerbeds had been replaced by wooden sleepers and seating areas on different levels.
The play equipment had also gone.
And in its place was a hot tub, more seating and a cute egg-style chair.
“Wait for it,” Sophie captioned her video.
But people in the comments section weren’t impressed.
“It looked better before,” one raged.
“Why is everyone trying to make their garden look like Love Island?”
With Sophie replying: “Wish you could have seen it in real life before, then you would have changed your mind.”
“I thought the before was amazing, lol,” another added.
As Sophie wrote: “I literally had no space for furniture and all the green was pretty much overgrown weeds.
“Not to mention the walls all falling down and fences.”
And a third commented: “Nice, you got rid of all the greenery.
“Honestly it looked better before.”
With Sophie responding: “Yeah I got rid of plenty of weeds, falling down fences, broken walls and cracked glass.”
“Noooo, you’ve made it into a desolate wasteland devoid of any wildlife,” someone else raged.
“Is that the Love Island garden?” another asked.
As someone else added: “When are the Islanders arriving to the villa?”
But others were more complimentary about the garden’s new look.
“People will literally find anything to complain about,” one wrote.
“I think it looks great but it also doesn’t matter what anyone thinks so long as you enjoy it.”
“The ‘after’ is clearly better,” another added.
“It’s basically an outdoor living space. If you want nature, go to the woods, people!”
