Man Utd in contact with striker's entourage, club want at least €42m - report
Manchester United have made contact with Vitor Roque’s entourage over a possible move during the summer transfer window, according to Brazilian outlet Globo.
The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the best young talents in Brazilian football and he has been tipped to make a big-money move to Europe ahead of next season.
Barcelona were initially leading the race but over the past week, the player’s entourage were reportedly in London to hold talks with interested Premier League clubs.
Globo claim that United are one of those who held discussions. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also mentioned as Roque’s admirers.

Roque would be a top-class signing for the long-term
The 18-year-old has the ability to play on the right wing or in the centre forward role. He has already compared himself to Luis Suarez when it comes to playing style.
The youngster has bagged 16 goals and four assists from 56 games in his senior career so far and he could be a brilliant signing for United in the long-term with his potential.
However, the big question is whether the club are willing to spend part of the budget on him when they need to invest big to sign a marquee striker ahead of next season.
Another possible drawback could be playing time. The teenager may want regular minutes wherever he plays next and that may not be an assurance with the Red Devils.
Hence, we don’t see a transfer happening unless manager Erik ten Hag is prepared to trust the youngster with a regular starting berth up front for the 2023/24 campaign.
