Evil boyfriend stabbed pregnant mum-of-four, 28, to death with scissors before making chilling confession to police
A TWISTED boyfriend stabbed a pregnant mum-of-four to death with a pair of scissors before he made a chilling confession to police.
Liam Taylor knifed 28-year-old Ailish Walsh 40 times then left her to die in her bedroom where she was discovered by her dad.
Tragically, Ailish was 22 weeks pregnant at the time of the “exceptionally brutal” December 15 attack last year.
After stabbing his partner, Taylor, 37, told police: “It’s crazy how one moment of madness can change your whole life.”
Chilling CCTV footage captured the moment Taylor enters Ailish’s North London home by a communal entrance at 8.36pm before leaving at 9.14pm.
Five minutes before he left, Ailish’s pal had phoned the victim and heard screaming and fighting in the background.
She had got in contact after Ailish frantically messaged her as she tried to get Taylor out of the Stoke Newington flat because he was taking drugs, the court heard.
Ailish’s father arrived later to find her covered in blood and unconscious in her bedroom.
She was covered with a high visibility jacket with Taylor’s bank card in the pocket.
A pair of bloodied scissors were found nearby as well as two dumbbells.
Taylor, who had cocaine, cannabis and alcohol in his system, was arrested at his home early the next morning.
Following “beautiful” Ailish’s killing, friends launched a GoFundMe page to help fly her body back to her native Ireland.
Paying tribute, organiser Teresa Cannon wrote: “[She] was a beautiful amazing young woman of 28 with 4 young children and a little girl on the way.”
Taylor pleaded guilty to Ailish’s murder during a hearing at the Old Bailey on Monday.
The court also heard Taylor had previous convictions for attacking female members of his family.
He was caged for 12 months for assaulting his mum with a metal pole and cautioned for headbutting his sister when she was just 16.
Judge Alexia Durran remanded him into custody and adjourned sentencing for the preparation of reports.
She told him: “There can only be one sentence. The only question will be how long it will be before the parole board considers your release.”
Taylor will be sentenced on May 10.
